Coach Nikia Ogle-Edom

Coach Nikia Ogle-Edom (formerly Nikia Edom) has been coaching and training athletes since 2011. While still in high school, Coach Nikia started coaching AAU and Sports Clubs including Illinois Defenders and Bolingbrook Panthers. During her high school career, she helped lead Montini Catholic to three straight state championships and was an IBCA Second Team All-State selection for two straight seasons. She garnered the SCC Blue 2011-12 Player of the Year award and was named as an AP All-State Honorable Mention in 2012-13. She completed her senior season as captain at Plainfield East averaging 15.7 ppg. Coach Nikia scored over 1,000 points in her prep career and was rated the 73rd best point guard prospect in the country by ESPN coming out of high school. Following her senior season, she accepted a full-ride athletic scholarship to DI Murray State University.

During her Freshman season at DI Murray State University, Coach Nikia averaged 24.8 minutes per game. Following her Freshman season, she accepted a full-ride athletic scholarship to continue her academic and athletic career at DII Quincy University where she would go on to complete her collegiate career. Senior season as captain, she had a game high 28 points and tied the school 3 point record with 8 three-pointers made in a single game. She graduated from Quincy University in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice (Cum Laude) and went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity from Maryville University. 

Following the completion of her Master’s Degree, she moved to Gilbert, Arizona in 2019. There she coached at Gilbert High School as the head freshman coach for the 2019-2020 season, ending with a record of 12-5. She went on to be the head JV coach at McClintock High School for the 2020-2021 season, ending with a winning record. For the 2021-2022 season, she was the Varsity assistant coach and stepped in as head Varsity coach to end the season, ending with a record of 8-3. Coach Nikia moved back to Illinois in late 2022 and was the JV coach at Joliet West High School during the 2023-2024, ending with a winning record. Following that, she was the WBB Director and Head Coach of the AR Elite program, expanding from one 16u travel team in 2024 to four travel teams (15u-17u) in 2025. She has since devoted herself to the successful transition and growth of Edom Elite.

Coaching Philosophy – 

Coach Nikia sets high standards for herself and her players and hopes that with guidance, her players will exceed those high-expectations as time goes on. She believes basketball IQ is just as important as one's athletic ability and will strive to ensure her players are mentally engaged in the game. Coach Nikia is passionate about being active, healthy and developing fundamentals. She values communication and hustle on the court. She is tough but understanding, and gives each player the guidance they need to exceed their potential. She is extremely enthusiastic about the game and is ready to help her players improve their game mentally and physically.

Coach Cinia “Ci” McCray - 17U Regional:

Coach Ci, also known as Coach Cinia, is a dedicated and passionate basketball coach with a strong foundation in player development and a commitment to fostering both athletic and personal growth

Coach Ci, also known as Coach Cinia, is a dedicated and passionate basketball coach with a strong foundation in player development and a commitment to fostering both athletic and personal growth. With two years of coaching experience and a proven track record of training athletes since 2022, her focus is on building well-rounded players by emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and basketball IQ. Coach Ci strives to create a competitive yet supportive environment that empowers athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the court.

A proud alumnus of Proviso East High School, Coach Ci was named an All-Conference player for four consecutive years, scoring over 1,000 career points. Her high school accolades also include being a 2016 McDonald's All-American nominee and finishing her senior season with an impressive 19.8 points per game. She went on to receive a full Division I basketball scholarship to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCAT), where she contributed to a team that captured two MEAC regular season championships, including a perfect 16-0 junior season. Coach Ci’s collegiate career highlights include leading her team to the postseason WNIT and becoming the 14th player in NCAT history to score over 1,000 points, with 151 career three-pointers made.

After completing her college career, Coach Ci transitioned into coaching, starting as the head girls' freshman basketball coach at Proviso East High School in the 2023-2024 season. Under her leadership, the team won the conference title with a 10-2 conference record. As she looks to expand her coaching journey, Coach Ci is excited to be a part of AR Elite and is eager to continue helping athletes succeed at the next level through AAU basketball.
